The Beechwood/Blocher Foundation has been set up to receive charitable gifts that support Beechwood Continuing Care in its mission to nurture our residents’ quality of life and aging by honoring their personal values in a supportive environment. Our leadership, staff and volunteers are dedicated to putting our residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual well-being first and foremost. Through various support mechanisms from individuals, foundations and businesses we can provide quality care and offer enhanced programming for all our residents, regardless of their financial status.
Giving Opportunities
Donations
Traditional support comes in the form of general donations to the Foundation. Donations can be made online, in person or sent through the mail. Your donation can be restricted (to be used for a specific project) or unrestricted (applied where the Board of Directors deems necessary). Your donation can also be used to honor a loved one or memorialize someone who has passed. Click here to make a donation on our secure donation page.
Sponsorship
Businesses looking for opportunities to support a charitable cause while also receiving advertising benefits can consider sponsoring an event at Beechwood. We host a number of free outdoor community events in the summer, such as our weekly Artisan Market, the annual Wheels on Wednesday Car Cruise and our Boppin at the Beech concert series.
Leave a Legacy
Consider including Beechwood in your will and leave a legacy. Whether your bequest is in the form of assets, real estate, stocks and securities, or naming us as a life insurance beneficiary, your contribution will support our residents and it also offers significant tax savings to you (and your heirs). We would welcome the chance to meet with you to discuss this option and ways your contribution can help our residents and how your generosity can be recognized in perpetuity.
Legacy Garden
A great way to honor and remember a loved one is by memorializing them within one of Beechwood’s beautiful courtyards. Whether it’s an engraved brick, park bench, tree or even an entire garden, you can help us keep our courtyards beautiful while paying tribute to your loved one forever.

• Used vehicles – The donation of a used vehicle is an excellent way for a donor to realize tax savings by claiming the full market value (documented).
Different Funds:
Living Care Fund
More than half of our skilled nursing facility residents are on Medicaid. Currently (and for over a decade), Medicaid for an individual only covers about half of the expenses associated with their care. This significantly hurts Beechwood’s operational budget. However, because of the Foundation, once a resident becomes a member of our Beechwood Continuing Care family, they remain with us for as long as they need our care, regardless of their financial resources. And staying true to our mission, and through support to the Living Care Fund under the Foundation, ALL residents receive the best care we can provide for them.
